Koi Hobbyists
Brett's Fish Farm in Danbury, Texas, had its 3rd annual tategoi sale on Saturday, December 8, 2007. Special guest longfin koi breeder Vance Schultze of Tank Hollow Fisheries in Poteet, Texas appeared with his best one and two year old longfin koi that was for sale as well.
Those of you that attended the 2005 and 2006 sale knows what a great experience this event was. All koi hobbyists, koi clubs, as well as the general public was invited to attend. Special koi never before offered for sale was available from both koi breeders, Brett and Vance, during this special event. This event was an opportunity to purchase young tategoi which usually is not offered for sale until the second or third year.
Special guest instructors, koi judges, other experts...,was available during this day to answer any koi related questions. This was a fun learning experience as well as an opportunity to mix with other area Koi Kichi and acquire that special koi he or she may have been wanting for a very long time. The Houston Lone Star ZNA koi club provided hot dogs and all the trimmings for lunch. Texas Koi gave several seminars and tours that was repeated throughout the day.

- 9:00am - sale opens
- 10:00am - Long fin koi presentation by Vance
- 10:30am - Tour of farm and culling demonstration by Brett
- 11:30pm - Working to have lunch available for purchase
- 1:00pm to 1:30pm - Special Koi raffles
- 1:30pm - Koi Judging presentation and contest
- 2:00pm - Long fin koi presentation by Vance
- 2:30pm - Tour of farm and culling demonstration by Brett
- 5:00pm - Sale ends
